__________ / How To / Studded S. / _________

By Cindy A.

Okays i don't have a set of step by step pictures, but you can actually follow a guide here ! Its pretty simple and

i actually modified quite a bit from the guide, so you don't have to follow so closely as long as you get

the overall idea and able to achieve what you want :)

Obviously you need a pair of sneakers, new or old up to you. And pliers, measuring tape, screw nail and studs.

I got my english punk studs from here, you can use other kind of studs to your own liking.

I used thin screw nail instead of scissors to poke the holes. Well its just easier for me.

After you insert the the stud into the holes, use the pliers to bend and lock the 'wings'.

My boyfriend suggested me to do a 'CA' on part facing inside and i did. Not very nice tho. Haha.

Okays here comes the most important part, unlike the guide i did an additional step that is adding a cloth to cover the wings

of the studs on the inside of the sneakers. The hard edges of the wings can hurt you if you don't have a cushion between

them and your feet. Imagine walking around whole day without the cushion. Haha. Comfort is really important too.

I used a PVA craft glue to stick the fabric to the shoe.

There you go!

Remember, patience is extremely necessary . And be careful :)

My fingers are still a little sore from this.

I am by no means a DIY guru, i just did it the way i know!

This is fantastic. I'm absolutely doing this. What kind of shoes are those without the all star on the sides?

Thanks for the awesome post! May I know what's the distance like between the studs? Yours were much further apart than the link you gave!
