When i read Emma Ostergren's blog i saw many of her food pictures have Haloumi cheese in them and they look absolutely deli.
So i decided to try it since i'm such a cheese lover :) Its my first time eating Haloumi cheese and im quite surprised by its
slightly dry and rubbery texture. It's really unique and nice. However, i still find Brie cheese my favorite. :)
Many readers have been asking to share my recipes on the food that i cook, i will although i can say that most of the dishes
i do are really fast and easy. And especially when i cook for myself, i tend to use alot less oil, salt or any additonal
flavorings. But of course when i cook for my family and friends i will make the taste heavier so it caters to the 'public'. :)
Ingredients are japanese cucumbers, red bell peppers, egg, haloumi cheese, wholegrain mustard,
ground pepper, dried herbs, salt and olive oil.
Wash the cucumbers and red bell peppers, cut them into pieces and stripes and set aside. Cut the Haloumi cheese into
1cm thick pieces, set aside. Heat the pan and add the oilve oil. Fry the cucumbers and red bell peppers with pinch of
dried herbs and ground peppers with a teaspoon of multigrain mustard. When the veggies are cooked and turn a little
brownish on the edges, add a bit of salt then set aside. Fry the egg as per normal and place it on top of the veggies.
Last part would be frying the Haloumi cheese. Fry the cheese till both sides turn yellowish brown and serve on top of
the egg and veggies. Sprinkle more ground pepper on the dish if you like. So easy!
